Orlando Psychiatric Associates is Hiring a Post-Doctoral Resident in Psychology Near Orlando, FL

Orlando Psychiatric Associates (OPA Behavioral Health) is a private practice with an immediate opening for Post-Doctoral Resident in Psychology to join our team at the ORLANDO office. The individual ultimately hired for this position will be responsible for psychological testing under the Supervision of our Licensed Clinical Psychologist.

OPA Behavioral Health is a busy psychiatric practice offering mental health care including counseling and medication management to children, adolescents, and adults. The practice is 100% outpatient based. Primary importance is given to the care of patients as well as their families. We are looking for an individual with strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills. This will be a full-time salaried position and the reimbursement package is negotiable. Mon-Fri schedule; no weekends, no night calls. Salary is based on experience and skills. The location that the Post-Doctoral Resident will be hired for is Orlando, FL. Spanish/English Bilingual is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an APA-accredited or its equivalent university.
  • Training in psychological testing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Conducts psychological assessments and formulates treatment plans in the assessment and diagnosis of patients.
  • Must have clinical skills in psychological assessment and report preparation.
  • Documents and maintains confidential records in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization and with external contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
  • High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills.
  • Establishes and maintains an environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and ethical behavior.
  • Maintains regular, reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Actively participates in supervision to meet requirements for licensure as a psychologist.
  • Increases knowledge of clinical psychology in related fields by continuing education and informal and formal discussions.
  • Must have a strong understanding of professional ethics and boundaries, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to come into the office setting
  • Must be an inclusive practitioner and have an ability to exhibit cultural humility.
  • Must exhibit a passion for providing mental health services
  • Must demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, professionalism, enthusiasm, and a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Must have clinical skills in psychological assessment.
  • Must have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
