Position Summary
Direct supervision by a preceptor to develop technical and professional skills through observation and hands on demonstration.

Responsibilities
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation.
Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors to achieve high quality images for
interpretation.
Utilizes critical thinking skills to recognize patients' physical limitations pertaining to age specific needs.
Delivers appropriate patient care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
Identify, acquire, and document pertinent patient history relative to procedures.
Develop ability to assess Radiographic Images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring all
relative anatomy is demonstrated.
Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
Applies appropriate standard of precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent cross-contamination of
communicable disease.
Develops proficiency in contrast material and adverse reactions to contrast media.
Adhere to Orlando Health policy, procedures, protocols, mission statements and commitment to excellence standards.
Learn the necessary skills required of a licensed Orlando Health Radiologic Technologist so that they will be equipped to work
independently upon graduation and successful completion of introductory period.
Qualifications
Education/Training
Must be enrolled in Senior Year of Radiologic Technology accredited school. (Valencia Program)
Must have pre-approval from school to apply to internship.
Licensure/Certification
BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire.
