    Summary: The primary responsibilities of this position would be to assist in networking device and systems maintenance. These needs have significantly increased with the growth of technology and the shifting of administrative roles with the expansion of the department responsibilities to include development of instructional practices and the integration of technology into curriculum.
    Qualifications / Experience
    Educational and/or work experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 3-6 years in the IT industry, preferably with experience in the educational setting
    • Experience with mobile device management software preferred
    • Experience with macOS and iOS devices preferred
    • Experience with Genetec Security Center and/or overall knowledge of security camera systems.
    • Experience with student information systems and/or business management suite preferred, Skyward professional development or certification a plus
    • General network management experience (to include Microsoft Server class OS management, DNS, DHCP, VMWare, networking/subnetting familiarity)
    • Experience with google apps preferred
    • Experience with physical network cabling: running new data lines, terminating, and certifying
    • Experience with Cisco and HP switching command language

    • Willingness to travel between sites in D135 district and Chicagoland surrounding districts.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Collaborate in organizing, managing, and deploying mobile devices in conjunction with the District’s 1:1 strategy and goals.
    • Collaborate in managing, maintaining, and repairing Apple and Windows devices as needed.
    • Collaborate in maintaining the Skyward platform and utilizing the Skyward and ISCorp help desk systems as needed.
    • Support the management and maintenance of the technological infrastructure, network, network safety, and confidential systems and data.
    • Conduct confidential data searches and completion of FOIA requests.
    • Promote the use of the district help desk system, close assigned tickets in a timely manner and document the work completed to resolve the issue.
    • Responsible for first-response technical support to all issues reported via phone, email and on-site visits, technical support includes troubleshooting levels 1, 2 and 3 software and hardware issues, replacements/upgrades and informal on demand training.
    • Participate and assist in the streaming of the district’s Committee and School Board Meetings as needed.
    • Assist in summer projects that relate to setup and installation of hardware and software for the next school year.
    • Availability for emergencies beyond normal work hours.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Instructional Technology and the Network Infrastructure Manager.

    • Lower Body Mobility: to bend at waist; stoop; twist and turn torso.
    • Strength: to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects that weigh as much as 25 pounds on a frequent basis.
    • Environmental Requirements: encounter constant work interruptions; work cooperatively with others; work independently; work indoors.
    • Mental Requirements: read, write, understand, interpret and apply information at a moderately complex level essential for successful job performance; business math skills at a high school proficiency level; judgement and the ability to process information quickly; learn quickly and follow verbal procedures and standards; give verbal instruction; rank tasks in order of importance; copying, comparing, compiling and coordinating information and records.
