Overview: As a Warehouse Quality Control Specialist at Orion Wholesale, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and integrity of warehouse operations. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain quality standards throughout the warehouse processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. You will work closely with warehouse management and staff to identify and address any quality issues, implement improvement initiatives, and uphold regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Inspection of Packaging: Conduct detailed inspections of packages before sealed and prepared for shipment. This involves standing at the packing stations to inspect packages, train packaging techniques, and make real-time corrections. Develop standard operating procedures to properly pack boxes in the most effective manner.
2. Quality Inspection of Firearms and Accessories: Conduct detailed inspections of firearms and accessories to verify quality and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Identify any defects, damages, or discrepancies and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
3. Daily Photos: Maintain photographic documentation of inventory items to support quality control efforts and facilitate accurate record-keeping.
4. Physical Inventory Counts: Conduct physical inventory for firearms and accessories to ensure accurate tracking of items and to resolve discrepancies.
5. Re-bins When Needed: Assist in the process of rebinding inventory items as needed to optimize storage space, improve organization, and facilitate efficient picking and packing operations.
6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within warehouse inventory management. Propose and implement enhancements to quality control procedures, inventory tracking systems, and workflow processes.
