Original X Productions is Hiring an Assistant Venue Manager - Boston Near Boston, MA

Description: Original X Productions (OGX) (responsible for The FRIENDSTM Experience, The Office Experience, and Harry Potter: Magic at Play) will be opening an interactive walk through experience in Boston in April 2024. OGX is looking for an Assistant Venue Manager to hire and guide a team to run this experience. This temporary project-based role will run from late March to late January 2025.
Job Summary:This position will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience and maintaining the sets and operations space ensuring it is safe for Guests and Team Members. The ideal candidate has experience working with maintenance (knows how to use hand tools and is familiar with adhesives) values creating a positive and fun work environment and has experience working with a variety of personalities.The annualized pro-rated salary range for this position is $52,000-$60,000.Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of all policies, procedures, and standards
  • Manage the show services team in maintaining the physical space and providing touch ups as necessary to provide the consistent best experience for Guests
  • Support the recruitment, interview, and hiring of daily operational staff and vendors including experiential personnel, box office, show services and other necessary personnel
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies and oversee implementation and training to team
  • Be part of the MOD (Manager on Duty) rotation
  • Oversee on-site day-to-day operations including, but not limited to: ticketing, POS management, attraction operations, guest services, custodial services, security services, on-site marketing, on-site groups & events, photo opportunities, and coat check
  • Oversee the implementation and compliance of all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for staff and guests
  • Respond to patron complaints as necessary
  • Support Venue Manager with any third party and vendor management
  • Follow policies, processes, procedures, and schedules for the preventative and corrective maintenance of the site
  • As necessary, perform routine maintenance tasks that include prop and furniture repair, changing batteries, and stocking of paper supplies.
  • Oversight of inventory items (staff uniforms, restroom supplies, cleaning materials, etc.)
  • Any and all duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • 1 years of leadership experience in the operation of a successful revenue-generating hospitality and/or leisure business
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a fast-paced team
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Maintains composure under pressure and enjoys working in a fast-paced and fluid environment
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
