ICE CREAM TRUCK CAPTAIN | Must be 19

The Rainbow Cone headquarters is located at 6839 Roosevelt Rd. Berwyn, IL.

Truck Captains will earn up to $25, which includes hourly rate and tips! Captains are also eligible for over-time opportunities.

As the Rainbow Cone Truck Captain, you are responsible for not only driving and overseeing the operations of the truck, you are part of the team and must help with the daily business.

As an Event Truck Captain, your day will start at our warehouse, located at 6839 Roosevelt Road in Berwyn. From there, you will drive the truck to the event location, serve and oversee, then drive back to the warehouse. You will not only drive, but manage the event and your crew.

As a Stationary Truck Captain (at either Lincoln Park Zoo or Shedd Aquarium), you will arrive to your truck's assigned location and oversee the sales and team. Interviews will still take place at our corporate office in Berwyn, IL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive our Ice Cream truck or other vehicles as assigned (cargo van, 16ft freezer truck, or the standard ice cream truck)
• Oversee daily operations of assigned truck
• Greet every guest with a smile!
• Take pride in every aspect of your work and perform with enthusiasm
• Communicate and work with your team to give outstanding service to our guests
• Take guest orders
• Scoop ice cream to fill customer orders
• Restock ice cream flavors in display tubs
• Restock bowls, cones, behind the counter
• Restock napkins and spoons for guests
• Wipe down surfaces in between guests
• Assist with other tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid drivers license
• Must have reliable transportation
• High school diploma/GED or 1-3 years of experience in F&B
• Illinois manager sanitation license, preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate, whether written or verbally
• Ability to life 40lbs comfortably
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Flexibility of hours
• Customer service skills
