Overview:

Organic Textiles is seeking a highly motivated Inventory Control Specialist to manage inventory, ensure that all products and materials are properly accounted for, organized, tracked, counted, stored, transacted throughout the work cycle. Updating and maintain inventory via inventory management system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
• Input product inventory data into inventory management system.
• Update/close purchase orders (POs) in various inventory management systems.
• Notify Warehouse Department of any discrepancies between what was ordered and what was received.
• Scan all documents relating to daily inventory activity and save in appropriate customer folders.
• Maintain production spreadsheet with daily production for use at month-end.
• Communicate with Warehouse Department regarding quantity and/or lot number discrepancies.
• Research and reconcile all discrepancies daily.
• Work with the Warehouse Department to ensure shelf-life and storage conditions for each item are up to date.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
• Handle materials and products, ensuring proper storage, organization, and labeling.

• Requirements:
• Previous experience in inventory control or related field preferred.
• Must have experience working with scanners and bar codes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
• Proficient in using inventory management software and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of production planning processes and order fulfillment procedures.
• Background in textiles not required but preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Skills:
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate data effectively.
• Proficiency in using analytics tools for inventory management.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), e-commerce platforms and Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
