Oregon State Credit Union is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Corvallis, OR

The Financial Analyst role is an opportunity where your perspective and prior work experience will be valued from day one. You will be responsible for researching, analyzing and reporting on a variety of financial data to meet regulatory compliance and aid leadership with business decisions. This may include collaborating with the department Director and third-party vendors on ALM forecasting, conducting different types of analysis, coordinating validation and audit reviews of the model as well as maintaining documentation of model data and reports, and conducting internal audits of the accounting and investment processes to identify and mitigate risk or improvement areas. The Financial Analyst will also support the preparation and collection of data needed for different cyclical reports and the regulatory examination process. This is a demanding role that requires exceptional analytical skills, strong understanding of financial theory, a quantitative skillset, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
What you will need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • 3-5 years of direct experience with an emphasis in financial analysis, forecasting and modeling, auditing and asset/liability management
  • Prior experience working in a financial institution with a focus in lending or investments is preferred
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, develop and implement sound solutions
  • Strong time management with the ability to perform detailed work accurately even under occasionally heavy workloads and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook, advanced experience preferred
  • Preferred experience with any of the following software: ALM forecasting software, Axiom Reporting and Budgeting, FICS Real Estate Loan and Commercial Loan Accounting software

Compensation: $70k/yr bonus

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of direct job related experience with an emphasis in the following:
    • Financial Analysis
    • Forecasting
    • Modeling
    • Asset/Liability Management
  • Work experience in a financial institution, with a focus in lending or investments, preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, with advance level experience preferred.
  • Experience with any or all of the following applications preferred:
    • ProfitStars ALM forecasting software
    • Axiom budgeting and reporting software
    • FICS Real Estate Loan and Commercial Loan accounting software
    • Relational Databases

Education

  • Possess a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics or related field.
