Oregon Outreach, Inc is Hiring a High School Teacher Near Scappoose, OR

At OOI, we are looking for flexible thinking teachers who want to make a difference in the lives of students. We understand there are live events and experiences you don’t want to miss. Our classroom models provide two teachers which increases collaboration and the ability to take time to take care of yourself. Teaching is hard, we can help. OOI is seeking two highly- qualified teachers for positions open in both our Molalla and Scappoose campuses.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

-Full-time professional positions provide classroom instruction for alternative school students in a small setting. This may include small group or one-on-one tutorials, small group direct instruction, and/or team teaching.

-OOI teachers must be able to provide instruction in a variety of subjects along with their certification area.

-This position requires a teacher to work very well in a close co-teaching environment; strong collaboration skills are required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Oregon state teaching certification is preferred, out of state certification may be acceptable while provisional or permanent certification is being arranged.

-Teachers must have experience and/or demonstrated ability to work effectively with at-risk and diverse youth.

-Ability to work as a member of a small team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Collaborate with the site lead teacher to create an interdisciplinary, problem-based curriculum that includes differentiation strategies to meet our student's unique needs. This includes aligning course goals to Common Core state standards.

-Create a new curriculum under supervision of the lead teacher

-Develop trusting relationships that support and assist student populations with transition goals of post-secondary education/employment.

-Assist Site Lead Teacher with administrative duties as needed.

Salary: $46,000 Depends on Experience
