Department Overview

The TI Senior Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) supports ongoing projects investigating placental function. This position spends a portion of their time collecting and processing human placentas, and is also responsible for clinical, administrative, and educational research activities related to the management of patients on clinical trials. The CRA spends a significant portion of time on data entry, reporting, and problem solving. Appointee will participate in the on-call schedule including intermittent, weekend, and holiday coverage. Position may require travel to off-site partnership locations around the state of Oregon. This is a night shift position.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's in relevant field of research OR

  Associate's AND 2 years of relevant field of research

  OR 3 years of relevant field of research

  OR Equivalent combination of training and experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year relevant research experience in a laboratory setting.

• Clinical Trials experience strongly preferred.

• Women’s Health specific experience is preferred. 3-5 years research experience

Additional Details

Work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday from 00:00 am to 08:30 a.m., work is performed in both a surgical and office settings, which carry a potential risk of exposure to chemicals, biohazard materials, dry ice, and human contagious agents through injury or their tissues and body fluids, or by contact with equipment contaminated by humans’ tissues and body fluids. Appointee will be in contact with human tissues & fluids and will be responsible for fluid and tissue collection as related to study protocol. Training will be provided for proper handling, processes, and procedures.

Required to work day hours, weekends and/or holidays to cover call coverage on campus.
