Description

Position Summary
Loan Servicing will receive and process loan document requests from loan officers, maintain and service loans, and provide verification on related compliance issues.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· High school diploma or equivalency

· Minimum of one year loan and/or lending experience, preferably in a banking environment

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including, but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Must possess numeric and verbal aptitude

· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work with limited supervision, exercising own initiative and judgment

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Good organizational and customer service skills

· Attention to detail

· Accuracy of work a must

· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to meet deadlines 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Position at Level 1
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Books and maintains loan posting payments and advances

· Conducts daily balancing and report extractions

· Offers daily loan support to the loan department

· Resolves payment issues

· Posts payments to accounts and processes payoffs

· Research payments, post payoffs, and releases collateral for paid-off loans

· Calculates and researches amortization and loan processes

· Maintains daily accuracy of the internal general ledger account

· Reviews daily reports for non-posts and errors notices

· Ensures all reports are error-free

· Prepares and authorizes necessary lending documentation and General Ledger entries

· Enters loan document requests into the LaserPro application

· Creates and proofs loan documents for consumer and commercial loans

· Creates and proofs loan disclosures 

· Reviews credit memos and loan files to ensure they have all the pertinent information necessary to create loan documents

· Books loans and collateral information onto the internal banking system

· Records and files pertinent collateral documents (i.e., UCCs, Fishing Vessel Mortgages)

· Assists loan officers with filing liens on collateral

· Assists with processing different documentation for collateral purposes to include filing and releasing UCC’s and working with releasing Deeds of Trust and vehicle titles

· Enters and maintains tickler and financial tracking system

· Works with the loan officers to maintain the tickler/reminder system for loans, financial and collateral information

· Reports to the Chief Credit Officer, as necessary

· Stays current on loan policies and procedures for the bank and at the regulatory level

· Liaisons with the Legal Department and ensures that protocol is maintained

· Assures customer service is the top priority whether internally or externally, treating customers and employees professionally, with courtesy and respect

· Be familiar with the employee handbook and will be held accountable to the standards of conduct and expectations detailed therein.

· Performs other duties as assigned

· Above functions are primarily performed with assistance and review from another loan servicing employee.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Position at Level 2
Loan Servicing 2. The essential functions include those above for position at Level 1, plus:

· Above functions are primarily performed without assistance from another loan servicing employee.

· Ensures all loan servicing disclosures are completely error-free

· Processes documentation for collateral releases, including releasing UCC’s, releasing Deeds of Trust releasing vehicle titles 

· Insurance tracking and verification for flood insurance and fishing vessel insurance

· Verifying necessary compliance requirements, including disclosures, flood insurance, joint intent, APR

· Assists with report and information gathering for audits and exams

· Requires at least 1 year of loan servicing experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Position at Level 3
Loan Servicing 3. The essential functions include those above for position at Level 1 and Level 2, plus:

· Performs work independently and exercises independent judgement and decision making in the best interests of the bank

· Demonstrates leadership within loan servicing, including taking on projects for improvement of the department and ongoing training of the department

· Manages the work of other employees in the department

· Is a role model of exemplary service to other employees

· Prepares and reviews reports for Board, audits, and exams

· Drafts policies and procedures

· Requires at least 3 years of loan servicing experience
