The Trauma Disorders Program is a nationally and internationally recognized program for the treatment of individuals with trauma-related conditions including dissociative disorders and other complex post-traumatic conditions. Our program utilizes an intensive multi-disciplinary treatment approach through individual therapy, milieu therapy, and process-oriented, experiential, and psycho-educational group therapies.
This is a part-time position. The position is benefit eligible for employees who are hired to work in positions that are 30 or more hours per week.
Employees will agree to work 16-32 hours every weekend (from Friday Night at 11pm through Monday at 7am) for a 6-month period.
There are 3 scheduling options for the weekend commitment.

• Option 1: Employees who sign up for 16 hours every weekend will be paid for an additional 4 hours of work per week, paid at their base rate.
• Option 2: Employees who sign up for 24 hours every weekend will be paid for an additional 6 hours of work per week, paid at their base rate.
• Option 3: Employees who sign up for 32 hours every weekend will be paid for an additional 8 hours of work per week, paid at their base rate.

As a Registered Nurse/RN-Weekends you will:

• Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.
• Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
• Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff.
• Document and report patient progress to treatment team.

Requirements:

• Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
• All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
• AHA CPR required before first day of employment

**Any RN with less than one year of experience will automatically be placed in Sheppard Pratt's Nurse Residency Program**
