Orchard & Vineyard Supply is currently hiring for a Yard Worker/Delivery Driver in our The Dalles, Oregon, location. In addition, this position will work within our warehouse. Orchard & Vineyard Supply requires a full background check and pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment. Must have valid OR Driver's License and clean driving record. This position is primarily Monday through Friday with Saturday work during our busy season. This is a seasonal position from approximately March to September.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

· Communicating With and Providing Exemplary Customer Service to External and Internal Partners

· Filling Store Orders

· Scheduling Deliveries

· Loading and Unloading Trucks (Forklift experience a must)

· Ensure Yard is clean and organized

· Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations

· Ability to lift and push/pull up to 50 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Completion of High School Education and/or GED Equivalency. Must have 1 year prior Retail/Customer Service Experience. Must have 1 year prior driving experience and the ability to provide a clean driving abstract. Must possess good oral communication skills and sound analytical skills. Experience working collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
