General mechanical skills and the understanding of basic electrical theory are definite pre-requisites of this position. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years history/experience working with diverse pumping systems. Orchard and Vineyard Supply requires a full background check and pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment. Must have valid WA Driver's License and a clean driving record.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

1. Ensure best customer service and follow through.

2. Follow safety protocols in place. We look out for you. You look out for you!

3. Assist, diagnose, and repair pumps and irrigation components as needed.

4. Accurately and thoroughly completes work order tickets.

5. Keep Management informed of issues as they arise.

6. Complete all work in a timely fashion, with attention to detail and quality workmanship.

7. Maintains punctual, regular with and predictable attendance.

8. Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

9. Displays excellent communication skills when working with customers and other associates and the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.

10. Must be willing to work occasional Saturdays and overtime.

11. Must maintain good inventory and organization of company supplied tools within immediate and general work environment.

12. Ability to lift and push/pull 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the shift and frequent climbing (i.e. ascending/descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, etc.).

13. Self-motivated and able to work together with a team or operate individually.

14. Trustworthy and dependable with a thorough thought process and a problem-solving mindset.

15. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or greater than 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bi-lingual in Spanish is helpful.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
