Provides high-level architectural expertise to support data modeling, conversion and resource management. Hybrid model at CFSA requires 3-days onsite work for this position.
Skills/Required Years of Experience:
Proven experience in leading data migration projects, preferably in a complex enterprise environment (Required 18 Years)
building an IT system roadmap Oracle/SQL Server: Utilizing Oracle/SQL Server for data extraction and transfer (Required 10 Years)
16 yrs. system diagramming/modeling using structured modeling language like UML (Required 16 Years)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field or equivalent experience (Required 20 Years)
Data Migration and Conversion experience in a CCWIS Project (Required 2 Years)
COORDINATION OF DATA CONVERSION FROM LEGACY TO NEW SYSTEM (Required 7 Years)
Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines (Required 10 Years)
Detail knowledge of Dynamics CRM data model (Highly desired 2 Years)
Complete Description:
Develop and execute a comprehensive data conversion and migration strategy and plan, ensuring the successful transfer of data from Oracle to Dynamics 365.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, mapping, and transformation needs, ensuring alignment with the child welfare information system's objectives.
Lead and coordinate data conversion and migration activities, working closely with the system integration vendor and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of migration tasks, including developing a data migration checklist.
Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, data gaps, and potential risks during the migration process.
Define and enforce data migration standards, best practices, and governance policies to maintain data integrity and consistency.
Develop and execute data validation and reconciliation strategies to verify the accuracy and completeness of migrated data.
Monitor and troubleshoot data migration issues, resolving any technical or functional challenges that may arise during the migration process.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop data migration documentation, including migration plans, data mapping, data retention, transformation rules, and data quality reports.
Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to business staff and Functional Quality Assurance staff on identifying migrated data in target solutions, data migration processes, and best practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data migration methodologies and tools, recommending improvements to enhance the overall migration process.
