We have an exciting opportunity for a Graphics Finishing Supervisor located in Woodridge, IL

Daily/General Tasks:

• Complete management responsibility of the Finishing floor & maintains a high level of quality and accuracy by:
  • Organize and delegate workload to team members.
  • Work to reduce material waste and reduce errors.
  • Operators/Finishers must produce high quality graphics (correctly routing or laser finishing graphics, finishing specs, size, quality, etc).
  • Operators must keep jobs on track & hit deadlines for finishing and other departments (Fast Solutions/Service Plus).
  • Responsible for making sure orders are scanned properly into the system. (Finishing complete, QC complete)
  • Packs graphics professionally and follow work instructions.
  • Meets all shipping & trucking deadlines.
• Machine Maintenance:
  • Hold laser/router operators responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of machine/workspace.
  • Ensure that all operators are executing the proper maintenance procedures on machines and completing all tasks in the log.
  • All minor and major maintenance is recorded in the maintenance log. (any parts replaced, tech visits).
  • Maintain high level of cleanliness on the finishing floor at all times (5S procedures are executed)

• No loose prints, garbage or products left under work tables
• Work stations cleaned and organized at the end of each shift
• Extra hardware restocked in the racks, etc.

• Keep all Large Quantity orders organized and labeled.
• Enforce set standard finishing times for products with the Production team (ex. mounting certain number of banners per hour and follow lean 5S procedures).
• Communicate reprints with the Print Supervisor or Print Manager.
• Communicate any production issues with the Finishing Production Manager (defective hardware, stock issues, reoccurring print or material defect).
• Check stock levels weekly and notify Graphics Purchasing Manager of any concerns and issues.
• Communicate any material problems or concerns with the Finishing Production Manager and Graphics Purchasing Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

Working knowledge of the following programs; Adobe Creative Suite, Vinyl Plotting Software, i-cut or similar and Microsoft Office

Management experience with a small team (5-10 people)

Experience working in a fast-paced production and/or manufacturing environment

Able to use hand tools; Tape measure, straight edge, drills.

• Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs.
• Ability to read English work instructions
• Ability to use a tape measure & calculator
• Job requires significant standing time
• Experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment
• Experience with large-format graphic finishing and a working knowledge of routing & laser equipment, vinyl plotters & other graphics trimming equipment
• Tradeshow and/or large format graphics experience is a plus but not required.
• Attention to detail & ability to work in a fast-paced environment
