Orangetheory Fitness is currently looking for a knowledgeable, experienced Fitness Coach to join our Fitness Team!

As an OTF Fitness Coach, you will be responsible for delivering scientifically predesigned workouts for up to 24 clients per session. This position requires a strong ability to coach and manage time, motivating multiple clients in a group setting. An OTF Coach must focus on a well-rounded theory of fitness, including endurance, strength, and power, using the tools given to optimize the client’s experience and results. Coaches must have the knowledge and ability to correct exercise form to prevent injuries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver predesigned workouts to groups of 24 clients
• Energize and motivate clients throughout the sessions
• Build OTF attendance and retaining current clientele
• Ensure safety of participants regarding heart rate and exercise technique
• Modify specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels
• Attend monthly fitness staff meetings and required educational presentations
• Handle member concerns when applicable
• Assist sales associates, when needed, with OTF studio tours and sales
• Assist with the wipe down of all equipment and maintaining cleanliness in workout room
• Availability; Monday through Sunday; Holidays
• Physical Demands - able to take OTF Class
• Assist with keeping workout studio clean, set up for next class and next shift
• Administrative duties - consult members, telephone contact for membership retention and welcome follow-up calls for new members. Including reminder texts for intro leads.
• Coaches are required to wear protective glasses and face mask which we provide

Fitness Coaches are leaders of the Orangetheory workouts. This requires them to be on their feet leading and instructing members for the entirety of the workout. In the weight room, coaches must demonstrate all exercises for members which can involve bosu balls, medicine balls, dumbbells, TRX, ab dollies or other fitness equipment, while using proper form.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized
• Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills
• Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels
• Must hold current fitness certification from an OTF approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NAMS, NCSA, or AFFA
• Must be able to complete and pass the 4 day OT Fit Certification Process
• Bachelor’s degree in an exercise related field is preferred
• Current CPR/AED certification
• 1 years of experience teaching groups or personal training in the fitness industry
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to safely lift and move up to 40lbs
