Industrial Design and Fabrication InstructorRandolph Technical Career Center1.0 FTE AnticpatedRandolph Technical Career Center offers twelve full-day technical education programs, each of which offers college credits or industry certifications to students as part of their high school education. RTCC is a full day Career and Technical Center where students gain technical skills, professional skills and academic skills on our campus.RTCC is seeking an Industrial Design, Manufacturing, and Fabrication Program Teacher to join our teamManufacturing in the United States and the world has changed rapidly over the past decade as machines and computers have taken over jobs and responsibilities traditionally held by workers. The Advanced Manufacturing Program focuses on helping students understand and succeed in this rapidly changing sector of the world economy by teaching them critical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork skills as they learn how to test, evaluate, report on, and design manufacturing programs and solutions for a wide range of industries. The program teaches both basic and advanced foundational skills in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) related areas such as manual and CNC (Computer Numerical Control), Machining, TIG Welding, Fabrication, 3D Printing and Design, CAD (Computer Aided Design), and Robotics.
Students may take Advanced Manufacturing as a lead-in to other RTCC programs, or as a standalone program designed to prepare them for college or a career. The successful candidate will have experience developing relationships while training the next generation of creative thinkers and manufacturers in a dynamic environment. Proven collaboration with relevant constituencies and business leaders and/or related business experience is preferred. 5 years of Industry experience in Manufacturing or relevant STEM related experience in the field is required.
Obtaining Licensure as a Career & Technical Education instructor with the Vermont Agency of Education, if not already licensed, will be part of the first 4 years of employment.
