Job Summary: A self starter with leadership qualities and the ability to make decisions while working in a variety of situations. Install, operate, maintain and repair all mechanical and electrical systems to meet code expectations. Meet regulatory guidelines and standards established for the facilities. Check and repair ( When possible.) HV AC issues and preform scheduled Bi-Yearly P.M's ( Preventive Maintenance) on all Group Home HV AC Units; Work with service technician personnel and communicates well with all team members. Must be able to be included in "On-Call" rotation. Perform any other duties as assigned.
Primary Customers: Students, co-workers, residential clients, and residential staff. Organizational Relationship: This position reports directly to the Maintenance Coordinator.
Positions Responsible For: Primarily the I.C.F. homes but may be called upon to assist other Techs as well as Res HAB homes when on-call.
Role Specific Core Competencies:

2. Must be able to take call and be available upon emergency request and work overtime when needed.
3. Read, analyze and interpret work order requests, invoices, and documents.
4. Respond to all customer requests in a timely manner.
5. Stay abreast of new technologies and equipment availability.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate. Completion of a formalized educational program and/or more than 5 years experience/training in related field.
Equipment/Skills: HV AC certifications, computer knowledge, phone etiquette, customer service experience, negotiating skills, working knowledge of the use, care and handling of power and hand tools. Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, and appliance repairs. Must have current drivers license, must have a clean MVR, obtain an "F" endorsement within 30 days and maintain a safe driving record. Also must pass a background check and physical.
Physical Requirements:
Health must be adequate to perform required duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to climb ladders and do rooftop work.
Physical examination may be required prior to employment including a TB skin test and /or a chest x-ray.
