Waits River Valley School, serving the towns of Corinth and Topsham, is seeking a Building Operations Supervisor starting July 1, 2024. This is a union-membership position within the collective bargaining agreement for the Orange East Educational Association. The Building Operations Supervisor will manage the day-to-day maintenance and custodial needs for designated buildings within the Orange East Supervisory Union. Additionally, the Building Operations Supervisor will ensure a safe and productive environment for students and staff congruent with the supervisory unions mission statement.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors and students; Plans and directs (on cooperation with the Building Administration and Director of Facilities) the work of all building maintenance and custodial staff; Assists the Building Administration and Director of Facilities in the selection, hiring and firing, training, and scheduling of all building maintenance staff; Provides input to the Building Administration and the Director of Facilities into the evaluation of building maintenance staff; Prepares estimates of cost for labor, materials, and supplies, and requisitions as needed.
