Orange County Utilities provides water resources and solid waste recovery services to protect and enrich the lives of the citizens and guests of Orange County Florida. The Water Reclamation Division ensures a safe and reliable water supply for all of Orange County Utilities’ customers.

Representative Duties

  • Answers phones and radio
  • Performs a variety of routine clerical and receptionist duties, e.g., mail distribution, filing, scanning, completing standard county forms and reviewing documents.
  • Coordinates, schedules, prepares, and maintains calendars, appointments, court appearances and prepares daily agendas for professional staff.
  • Coordinate with division staff to complete payroll timesheets.
  • Prepares and completes general correspondences, spreadsheets, and data entry.
  • Maintains filing system for section paperwork.
  • Participates in emergency activities/response.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of experience in clerical or secretarial work; or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience on a year for year basis.

Preferences

Secretarial experience working with a staff of 40 or more.

Ability to type at a rate of 40 correct words per minute. PC experience with word processing, spreadsheet or presentation software.

Notes

Hours per week: 40

Hours will be 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Monday through Friday. Hours may be negotiable.

May include additional hours during emergencies.
