Job Summary
The Facility Planning and Maintenance and Operations Department provides facility planning, project management, and maintenance/operations support for facilities owned and/or occupied by the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE), including Special Schools and Alternative Education, located at over 76 sites throughout Orange County. OCDE is currently seeking a reliable professional to serve as our Facilities Services Assistant I. This individual will be responsible for a variety of maintenance, repair, and custodial duties in the maintenance of OCDE facilities, offices, and school sites. The positions support custodial cleaning after school. Hours and job site locations across Orange County may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Working hours are 7:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (6 hours) or 2:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (6 hours). One year of responsible experience performing custodial and/or building maintenance and repair work.
Graduation from high school or high school equivalency test.
Licensees and Certificates: • Valid California Class C driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under OCDE’s vehicle insurance policy is required for certain assignments. • Valid forklift operator certification is required for certain assignments. Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $2,799 - $3,675 Monthly (6 hours)
