Orange County Dental Care is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Orange, CA

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. If you are passionate about dental care and possess excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed
- Take and develop dental x-rays and taking inter-oral picture using Intra-Oral camera.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history as necessary
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions, trimming models, and fabricating temporary crowns
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- X-ray certification required and CPR Certified
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of medical terminology, and medical coding is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and adherence to HIPAA regulations
