Position Responsibilities:

• Provides technical and clinical expertise to assure optimal efficiency and surgical outcomes.
• Assisting nursing personnel with patient care activities
• Helps maintain a clean and safe environment
• Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
• Reports observed or suspected safety violations, hazards, and policy/procedures non-compliance
• Contributes to the progress and development of the organization's performance-improvement program
• Reports observed or suspected safety violations, hazards, and policy/procedure non-compliance to the supervisor or other designated person
• Ability to move quickly in response to patient, employee, visitor, or medical staff needs
• Performs other duties as directed

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills - ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds
• Must be able to work independently and assume responsibility for timely completion of assigned functions
• Must be able to work in an environment where there are high stress levels due to constant interruptions, high volume urgency of issues, and interactions with a wide variety of professionals and personalities
• Occasionally, work extended hours
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and assist in lifting patients up to 300lbs
