Title: Registered Nurse (PRE/POST/PACU) - Crow Valley Surgery Center

Position Responsibilities:

• Providing care in the pre-operative, post-operative, and post-anesthesia care areas.
• Admit and prepare the patient for surgery.
• Provide ongoing information to the patient and their caregiver to ensure that they understand and feel as comfortable as possible.
• Receives patient in the recovery room after surgery. Assesses and evaluates the patient. Monitors the patient continuously during the recovery phase.
• Provides discharge instructions to the patient and their caregiver.
• Assists in patient education during all phases of their experience at CVSC.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Iowa RN License is required
• Must be flexible with hours
• Previous ASC and/or surgical care experience is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
