Our optometry clinic is looking for an Optician/Optometric Technician to join our team. We are a single Doctor practice in Fort Collins focused on maintaining a professional, customer-centric eye care. We operate as a friendly, team-work based environment.

We are looking for an energetic associate with a passion for customer service. Previous optometry/ophthalmology experience is extremely beneficial but not required. There is an expectation of a fast learning curve with solid retention. You must also be very comfortable on the computer to learn new software.

There are several different roles an optometry Optician/Optometric Technician can perform. As a small but busy practice, each employee will have a primary role for that work day but may need to step in to assist another team member in their position. Due to the teamwork needed, each employee is trained in all areas:

Front desk: to answer phone calls, schedule appointments verify insurance benefits and open or close the office

Optical: sell glasses and contacts and adjust the fit of glasses

Technician: operate pre-testing equipment to gather measurements from patients that the doctor will need

Lab: use equipment to cut lenses to fit into frames.

With each if these roles, multitasking is important. This means you will need to be able to comfortably process multiple ideas at one time and work efficiently. The expected hours worked per week will range from 34-40. Since our office is open 6 days per week we require full availability, including 1-2 Saturdays a month.
