SUPERVISOR: Supervisor - Manufacturing

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Electro Mechanical Technician will assemble or modify electrical or electronic equipment, such as computers, interlocks, motors, encoders, sensors, monitors, and transducers to complete a working system.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES

• Read, understand and work off of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Trouble shooting and testing electrical/mechanical systems using tools i.e. multi-meters, oscilloscopes and power meters.
• Lay-out, mounting and wiring electrical control panel components on product lines with a general knowledge of component functions (with some training)
• Integrate all external devices i.e. switches, interlocks, motors, encoders, sensors, monitors, transducers and computers to complete a working system.
• Soldering of components to PC boards and connecting cables.
• Assist in all aspects of manufacturing electro/mechanical equipment with an emphasis on quality, organization and neatness.
• Confer with Supervisors or Team to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education:

• Associates Degree in Electronics or electrical trades, or equivalent.

Experience: 

• Electrical/mechanical experience required. 
• Strong background in electronics and/or electrical controls systems.
• Previous work in Additive Manufacturing Industry a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Will work in a manufacturing, lab and warehouse location. 
• Goggles must be work at all times in lab and designated areas. 
• Lab/warehouse environment contains metal powders, chemicals, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Warehouse conditions as applicable. 
• Safety gear.
