Lab Technician job summary

Our fast-paced drug testing laboratory is currently seeking to hire a Lab Technician. The successful candidate will perform various tasks including specimen collection, specimen accessioning, input of billing information, send-outs, sample preparation and data analysis for mass spectrometry and the maintenance of drug testing records. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply.

Lab Technician responsibilities

  • Receive samples and accession in laboratory information system
  • Sample preparation and data analysis for mass spectrometry
  • Extraction
  • Quality Control
  • Input billing information
  • Prepare samples for testing
  • Label specimens accurately
  • Prepare and maintain accurate laboratory records
  • Clean and maintain work area
  • Scan documents for permanent storage
  • Assist with labeling and miscellaneous tasks

Lab Technician skills/requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in physical science field
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to easily understand complex instructions
  • Able and willing to maintain strict level of confidentiality regarding laboratory results and records
  • Excellent computer skills and attention to detail

Benefit Conditions:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
