Optimus Ride is an autonomous mobility service provider on a mission to drive the future of transportation. We develop and own the full AV tech stack and user experience–algorithms, software, hardware, and system integration–for autonomous, electric rides for communities near and far. The Role
Optimus Ride software engineers create the software at the heart of our vehicles and systems. Our software needs to process complex dataflows and make decisions with real-world consequences. Our team is focused on a rapid path to market in order to maximize the benefits of self-driving technologies for all. To do this, we need our engineers to be versatile, have leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic about tackling problems across the full range of our systems. You will be creating new technologies through software development to enable self-driving systems to be possible today.
Responsibilities
- Build software for a self-driving vehicle
- Develop and maintain software and systems, both on- and off-vehicle
- Test, debug, and maintain reliable, safe, and production-quality code
- Participate in our team’s software development processes, including documentation, automated testing, and source control practices
Requirements
- BS in computer science, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent software development skills using C
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English
- Proven experience leading and mentoring junior engineers
- 5 years of experience writing production-quality code
Bonus
- Experience with 3D data processing/visualization
- Experience with robotics software and applications
- Solid fundamentals in linear algebra and numerical methods
