System Administrator Job Description
Provide day-to-day windows server administration support and aid in managing Information Technology Security plans and Server Operations Systems and Databases. This position will be responsible for the installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure, including end-user systems. This position participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This position assists end-users in troubleshooting and solving common hardware problems. This position ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related security procedures adhere to organizational requirements and vendor partners.
• Troubleshoot and support engineering technology solutions for various project/operational needs of the organization.
• Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
