Optimized Senior Living is Hiring a Caregiver/STNA Full Time Nights Near Dayton, OH

Optimized Senior Living is a family-owned and operated senior living community committed to providing exceptional care and support to its residents. With a maximum of 16 residents, our focus is on fostering a warm, welcoming environment where seniors can thrive and enjoy their golden years with dignity and respect.

Job Description:
As a Night Shift Caregiver at Optimized Senior Living, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents during the overnight hours. Working from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a full-time basis, including every other weekend, you will be responsible for providing attentive, compassionate care to our senior residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor residents throughout the night, maintaining a vigilant presence to promptly address any needs or concerns that may arise.
  • Assist residents with nighttime routines, including personal hygiene, toileting, and changing as necessary.
  • Respond promptly to any emergencies or medical situations, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents who may experience anxiety, confusion, or difficulty sleeping during the night.
  • Perform regular checks on residents to ensure their comfort and safety, adjusting bedding, positioning, and environmental conditions as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces, to uphold standards of cleanliness and infection control.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in caregiving and senior care.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations governing senior living communities and healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare or caregiving preferred.
  • Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in a residential care setting preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and fellow staff members.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina and endurance to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility as required.
  • CPR and first aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
