Position overview: 

This Supply Chain Leaderis a highly visible, global role requiring strong working relationships across the Optimas OE Solutions organization. 

The Supply Chain Leader acts as the lead project resource to take Optimas’ global purchasing systems and processes to the next level. This person will play a hands-on role to implement integrated demand and inventory planning tools for improved forecast accuracy and increased inventory effectiveness while maintaining industry leading service levels. 

Using a balance of analytical, technical and change management skills, you will work with planners and lead a team of buyers to understand customer requirements and then execute purchasing processes through your teams and in coordination with suppliers. You will also work with IT and external resources to ensure that the system is accurate, timely and robust, and that it is implemented per the project plan. 

Main responsibilities: 

• Work with the P&L leader, Supply ChainDirector, and SIOP Director to create and manage the execution of all Supply Chain purchasing activities and processes.
• Work with buyers to understand and document high level business requirements, pain points and constraints. Isolating business needs from current system limitations, work with system consultants to develop a “to be” process that leverages new capabilities that meet business needs and overall performance objectives.
• Review and approve high impact purchase order requirements to ensure effective deployment of company net working capital and cash flow.
• Work with supplier partners to ensure seamless delivery and supplier operational performance against customer requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and represent Supply Chain on enterprise-wide Project Management initiatives.
• Identify, attract, and develop a top talent team of professional Buyers and Senior Buyers.

Skills and Qualifications: 

Industry Experience:  

A minimum of 7years of supply chain planning or procurement experience in a high SKU count. Prefer experience in industrial organizations that are rapidly changing, continuous improvement focused, and performance driven. 

Desired Supply Chain Expertise: 

• Demonstrated analytical expertise with forecasting methods and predictive inventory modeling
• Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements
• Demonstrated track-record of highly effective analysis, communication and change management
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with integrated planning tools (NetSuite, Tableau, Tools Group) preferred
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Mathematics or similar. Advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
• Certification: IBF and APICS designations preferred
