Position Description:

Job Description & Qualifications - The Facilities Engineering Manager provides network support to US and Canada Distribution Centers for items related to facility maintenance and PMHV fleet management. The position also supports new building construction within FCSD and drives FCSD's environmental compliance and future strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety, Environmental, Labor o Serve as the liaison for facility and PMHV engineering functions with division safety, including providing and presenting Monthly Metrics for Division SPRB and PSC Meetings
  • Oversee Environmental auditing, reporting, and metrics to ensure compliance with Corporate and Government requirements
  • Lead FCSD's environmental strategy to ensure it aligns with corporate targets
  • Lead General Maintenance interviews to select replacement personnel at US distribution facilities
  • Provide National and Local Negotiations support, including implementation of safety facilities items
  • Division lead for PMHV Fleet Management including fleet renewal, batteries, battery chargers, fleet cost management, and new fleet technology
  • Site management for items not covered by Integrated Facilities Management, including division capital projects like roofing and paving.
  • Lead division efforts in preventative maintenance engineering including generation of PM work order reports, legionella, electrical distribution/ frequencies, and maintenance of FM Manual reference site for the network
  • Manage facility leases, including renewal tenant improvements, performance of lease obligations
  • Oversee roofing and paving maintenance programs
  • Manage Facility and Tooling spending along with 5-year Business Plan
  • Assist with maintenance at River Raisin and Milan facilities
  • Lead Facilities and PMHV implementation for new facility launches in US and Canada

Skills Required:

  • 5 years of prior experience in Facility Management or Facilities related Project Management
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Hard working with the willingness to work long hours as needed to support critical projects/assignments
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage a budget (experience preferred)
  • Ability to adapt daily to most urgent needs across the PS&L network
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one-time
  • Attitude with the ability to work collaboratively with many stakeholders (operations, finance, safety, UAW, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder requests and to recommend and implement informed choices
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high paced environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with UAW Leadership and General Maintenance personnel
  • Proven ability to work independently, proactively, and efficiently within established guidelines and procedures
  • On call 24/7 to support depot facility issues (power outages, weather events impacting operations, etc.)
  • Travel required (20%) - including international travel to Canada
  • Position works on-site in Brownstown Michigan
