Position Description:

This position involves the development and execution of software validation suites for both supplier-delivered low-level drivers and Ford-developed high-level drivers in Powertrain Control Modules.

Deliverables:

• Gather unit level requirements for base function of each low-level and high-level driver.
• Develop and update test cases for base function of each low-level and high-level driver.
• Execute and verify test cases in the Ford software lab in either an open-loop or HIL environment.

Skills Required:

• 2 years of Powertrain software validation experience
• Strong ANSI C software design/development/validation skills
• 10 years' experience in testing and debugging automotive embedded systems software.
• Working knowledge of Lauterbach debugger and Clearcase
• Understanding of basic engine controls principles
• Understanding of basic combustion engine operating principles
• Excellent problem-solving techniques.
• Experience working with diverse teams and across organizational boundaries to accomplish complex tasks.

• Basic AUTOSAR knowledge
• Jira
• UDS Diagnostics Protocol
• Python

Experience Required:

Education Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Master of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
