Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Dietitian to join our healthcare team. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in providing nutrition therapy and counseling to patients in order to promote optimal health and well-being. Your expertise in physiology, health coaching, and patient assessment will be essential in developing personalized dietary plans for individuals with specific medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and develop appropriate dietary plans
- Provide individualized nutrition counseling and education to patients based on their specific medical conditions and dietary requirements
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure coordinated patient care
- Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their dietary plans as needed
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations, such as body composition analysis, to assess patients' nutritional status
- Educate patients on proper food selection, preparation, and portion control
- Provide guidance on therapeutic diets, including tube feeding and parenteral nutrition
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian in a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and its relationship to nutrition
- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and developing personalized dietary plans
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively educate and motivate patients
- Experience in health coaching is highly desirable
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques for assessing nutritional status
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
