Optimal Hospice is looking for a passionate on-call Registered Nurse to support the need of patients on the weekend. The Registered Nurse, RN will have the opportunity to chose weekend days they would like to provide care to patients at their home or placement. Mileage will be reimbursed.

THE OPTIMAL HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE:

• Hospice heart: compassionate, kind and empathetic to your patients and their families
• Respond to the need of patients after hours by connecting and collaborating with triage team
• Nurse/Patient Relationship: Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship through the health care continuum
• Provide direct patient care services to hospice patients
• Empower patient's caregivers by education them on care for their loved one
• Provide coordination of care, ensure continuous assessment of each patient's and family's needs
• Responsible for documentation and communication of care, medication, and observations made during care of the patient in order to track responsiveness and health of patient.
• Responsible for providing appropriate patient/family education to help patient/family achieve a pain-free and comfortable status.

SCHEDULE:

• Flexible- you chose which days you would like to support after-hours

PAY:

On-call pay $100 per weekend day

Visit Rates: $50-100

About YOU:

• Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state.
• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing.
• Maintains a current CPR certification.
• Current valid driver’s license.
• At least one year of Hospice experience (preferred)
• Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communications, nursing skills per competency checklist.
• Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.

Pay:

On-call pay $100 per weekend day
