Optimal Hospice is looking for a passionate and seasoned Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team. The Registered Nurse will be on call for 7 days and have 7 days off. The RN will provide care to patients in the greater Denver metro area after hours as needed between 5pm-8am.

THE OPTIMAL HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE:

• Hospice heart: compassionate, kind and empathetic to your patients and their families
• Nurse/Patient Relationship: Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship through the health care continuum
• Provide direct patient care services to hospice patients
• Empower patient's caregivers by education them on care for their loved one
• Provide coordination of care, ensure continuous assessment of each patient's and family's needs
• Responsible for documentation and communication of care, medication, and observations made during care of the patient in order to track responsiveness and health of patient.
• Responsible for providing appropriate patient/family education to help patient/family achieve a pain-free and comfortable status.

SCHEDULE:

• 7 days on/7 off
• 5pm-8am

PAY: $88,000-100,000 DOE

About YOU:

• Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state.
• Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing.
• Maintains a current CPR certification.
• Current valid driver’s license.
• At least one year of Hospice experience (preferred)
• Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communications, nursing skills per competency checklist.
• Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.

Pay: $88,000-100,000 DOE
