Optima is currently seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team on-site at our Gilbert Primary Care office!!

Prior Authorization Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Request, prepare and submit proper documentation to establish prior authorization for necessary medical services.
  • Prioritize authorization request according to urgency.
  • Submit appeals for denied authorizations.
  • Verify accuracy of CPT and ICD – 10 diagnoses used in patients’ medical charting.
  • Correspond with patients to discuss authorization status.

Prior Authorization Specialist Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1yr working experience in administrative role.
  • Knowledge of prior authorization process/familiarity with various medical insurances.
  • Previous experience working in primary care highly favorable.
  • 1yr experience working with an EMR system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Positive attitude that promotes teamwork and comradery

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
