Optima Family Services is Hiring an Infant Development Program Supervisor/Hybrid Near Riverside, CA

POSITION SUMMARY:

Hybrid - This position is for MAs willing to do ongoing while learning to be supervisors.

This positions is great for those who seek a Hybrid Supervisor role where you will have some supervisor duties as well doing ongoing in homes. An MA level of education is required for this position.

You will ensure that clients receive the highest quality of in-home infant and parenting services by training staff, performing evaluations, and providing guidance and support to Infant Specialists and families.

Supervisor Duties:

  • Train the necessary employees in all operating procedures.
  • Use all required testing tools, do Intake Evaluations quarterly evaluations, and developmental. Do report editing as well as other specialized areas, as required.
  • Refer appropriate clients to the respective professionals for specialized evaluation, perform quality assurance supervision visits and calls to the clients of the Infant Specialists and supervisors, provide performance improvement recommendations, and implement specific programs that are designed to improve the clients’ functioning levels.
  • For supervisors, create and lead meetings every other month.
  • Make periodic telephone calls or visits to families to ensure their satisfaction with the provider at least once a month.
  • Provide feedback in the completion of performance evaluations after the six months of employment and/or about the anniversary date of in-home professional, and ensure that all official reports are accounted for, on time, completed and reviewed, and the participate in special projects as determined by management.
  • Maintain a case load of Infant Specialists, according to the number of hours worked, up to 20 Infant Specialists. Those hired on a part-time basis will supervise one Infant Specialist for every 2 hours of work.
  • Calling the Infant Specialist Groups to make sure the supervisor is fulfilling their duties.
  • Ensuring that Direct Observations are done twice a month and correctly.
  • Performing field supervisions for the supervisors once a month to ensure that supervisor is correctly utilizing the testing tools.
  • Attending trainings/seminars to disseminate this information other supervisors and IS during supervisor and general meetings.

Hybrid Duties:

  • Train the necessary employees in all operating procedures; use all required testing tools to conduct Initial assessments, quarterly reports, regional center intakes, and report editing as well as other specialized areas, as required.
  • Refer appropriate clients to the respective professionals for specialized evaluation.
  • Ensure that all official reports are accounted for, on time, and completed.
  • Assess family satisfaction with services during each evaluation visit and document feedback.
  • Assist with support of field staff by covering individual client sessions on a temporary basis as is possible.
  • Model exemplary practice of virtual communication through emails, texts or other modes, by responding in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the President/CEO or immediate supervisor, as necessary in order to best meet the needs of the agency.

WORK HOURS/DAYS: Part Time/Full Time, up to 40 hours a week. Monday through Friday with weekend availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have at least one year of experience working with parents and children with disabilities and possess one of the following:

A valid license or certification in one of the following:

Occupational Therapy

Physical Therapy

Special Education

Psychology

Nursing

Speech and Language Therapy

OR

A Masters degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education which includes a minimum of 15 units of formal instruction in at least one of the following:

Typical and Atypical Infant Development

Infant Assessment

Infant Intervention Techniques

Family Involvement in Infant Treatment

OR

The equivalent of a Masters degree (completed by a credentials specialist) and five years of experience in development.

Knowledge of the following is also necessary for this position: assessment techniques for individuals who are developmentally disabled, various education techniques, and community resources in the Quality Assurance of special education, ability to counsel clients their parents and siblings, and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, Regional Center personnel, parents and clients. Must have driver’s license and car insurance in order to perform the duties described above.
