Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Phlebotomist to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples from patients
- Verify patient information and ensure proper labeling of specimens
- Follow established protocols and maintain aseptic technique during blood collection
- Prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure their comfort during the procedure
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper specimen collection
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and clinical laboratory procedures
- Proficient in laboratory techniques related to blood sampling and specimen handling
- Excellent patient service skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care
- Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks as needed
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Certification as a Phlebotomist from an accredited program
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is preferred but not required

  • At least 2 years of experience in venipuncture.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of phlebotomy SOPs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
