JJob Summary
The Construction Foreman is responsible for ensuring that everything goes smoothly at a construction site. A few of the main duties of a foreman are coordinating tasks for the day, creating schedules for workers, oversee quality of the site, and managing the budget. They also must report the progress of the project to superiors.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Serves as the support lead for all construction tasks assigned by the Construction Manager.
· Works with field management to develop detailed project plans including allocation of internal and external resources, project scope and objective, and the technical feasibility to complete the project. Updates and maintains regular updates to said project plan to monitor project performance and overall efficiency.
· Maintains comprehensive project documentation and provides quarterly or predetermined period documentation to management for evaluation.
· Presents data for reports defining project progress, problems, and viable solutions as well as a detailed cost analysis of materials and resources currently expended and those that are slated to be used.
· Provide all permit running requirements with local municipalities and ensure all permit requirements are met on all projects.
· Interface with any state, city, county, or local utility companies for coordination or permit requirements as needed.
· Sources and secures external resources as needed and is responsible for monitoring all contracted. Maintains valuable working relationships with external resources for future contracted work.
· Schedules and ensures all necessary external resources are available when needed and works with field management to secure all internal resources accordingly. Individual provides workable solutions to all scheduling conflicts to keep the project on schedule.
· Continuously completes QA inspections for all work related to the project and provides constructive advice to the appropriate entity of changes or improvements needed.
· Maintain an accurate tool inventory to include missiles, compressors, shovels, tarps, and other required tools for underground construction.
· Coordinates with property management and employees for all access requirements and all pertinent logistics before and during the project build out phase to make sure there are no issues delivering the result.
· Assists in pick-up and delivery of materials as needed to the job site and company or vendor facilities.

· Peacefully resolve any emerging problems and issues.

· Supervise, train, and give feedback to workers.
· Ensure labor and other resources necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities
· The Construction Foreman should have strong interpersonal skills, be customer service oriented, and have effective communication abilities.
· Be able to work under strict deadlines and adapt to situations effectively to overcome difficulties in achieving goals.
· The individual should have a solid understanding of RF transport, satellite communications, headend technologies, and all pertinent software such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS Project.
· The ability to translate fiber and coaxial design documents and general building schematics is a mandatory skill set necessary to effectively complete said deployments.
· Good time-management skills

Education and Experience
· High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
· Related trade school education preferred.
· Previous supervisor experience is preferred but not required based on individual’s aptitude and skill set.
· Minimum of 3 years of Construction experience preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years of Telecommunication experience preferred.
· Valid Driver’s license required.
· Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test.
Physical Requirements:
· Good physical condition and stamina
· Work indoors in poorly ventilated areas such as attics during extreme heat.
· Ability to lift to 75lbs.
· Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, insects, cleaning solutions.
· Work outdoors in all kinds of weather and at all times of the day or night.
· Work performed near power lines and electricity.
· Work and travel in inclement weather.
