Our rapidly growing practice is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented team member to provide individualized attention to our patients' specific eyewear needs in the Optician role. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a sense of confidence and a dedication to providing friendly, high quality care to our patients. In addition, this position will require the ability to multitask, as well as cross-train to aid in other departments as needed. We are a small practice that emphasizes the importance of working as a team. We are looking for a candidate who is self-driven, and eager to broaden their role within the practice.

Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls and schedule patient exams; Read prescriptions, assist with frame selection and recommend lens products as prescribed by the doctor; Dispense and aid in the sale of contact lenses according to a prescription; Provide customer service, both in-person and over the phone, and explain optical services to patients; Stock inventory and ensure that the clinic is clean and organized; Assist with billing, insurance claims and various accounting duties as needed; Have an exceptional understanding of various medical and vision insurance plans.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
