Job Summary:

The Wound Nurse (LPN OR RN) will be responsible for providing wound care to patients in a clinical setting. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care plans for patients with acute and chronic wounds. The nurse will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and document wound status, including size, depth, and drainage
• Develop and implement wound care plans based on assessment findings
• Monitor and evaluate wound healing progress
• Provide patient education on wound care and prevention
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Requirements:

• Current LPN or RN license in the state of Michigan
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in wound care
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
