Job Summary

The Infection Prevention Nurse/Staff Development is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating infection prevention and control programs in the healthcare facility. The role also involves providing education and training to staff members on infection prevention and control practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures
• Conduct regular assessments of infection prevention and control practices in the healthcare facility
• Provide education and training to staff members on infection prevention and control practices
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement infection prevention and control programs
• Monitor and investigate outbreaks of infectious diseases in the healthcare facility
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to infection prevention and control
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention and control
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of infection prevention and control activities

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current license in the state of Michigan
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in infection prevention and control
• Experience in staff development and education
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to infection prevention and control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
