Job Summary

The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This position performs a variety of cleaning tasks in accordance with established procedures and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleans resident rooms, common areas, and other designated areas in accordance with established procedures and standards
• Disinfects and sanitizes surfaces, equipment, and furnishings
• Empties trash and disposes of waste in accordance with established procedures
• Replenishes supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels
• Reports any maintenance or repair needs to supervisor
• Assists with laundry and linen services as needed
• Follows all safety and infection control procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, visitors, and staff

Working Conditions

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The Housekeeping Aide may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and infectious materials. The work environment may be noisy and fast-paced.
