The Position OPSWAT is seeking a creative Social Media Marketing Intern to assist in the creation and execution of our social media content and strategy. The ideal candidate will have a background in Marketing studies and an interest in how social media supports an organization’s larger goals. The Social Media Marketing Intern will report to the Social Media Manager and collaborate closely with the Corporate Communications team. You will also work with members of the Brand and Design team and Field Marketing team.
This internship position is onsite in our corporate office in Tampa, FL and does not offer remote or hybrid work.
What You Will Be Doing

• Assist with the execution of social media campaigns and posts across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Write and edit social media copy that speaks to the company’s target audiences.
• Brainstorm ideas for original social content.
• Perform social media marketing research.
• Help identify high-performing content and assist in developing scalable campaigns.
• Assist in measuring social media analytics.
• Work with Social Media Manager and Corporate Communications Coordinator in creating social content around company culture.
• Work with Field Marketing Managers to create and execute content around local events.
• Work with Junior Video Editor to create social media video content that is aligned with brand standards.
• Audit competitors’ social media against OPSWAT’s.
• Ensure brand message is consistent.

What We Need From You

• Some college or university experience.
• Basic understanding of different social media platforms.
• Excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
• Excellent speaking and reading comprehension skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Good time management skills.
• Extremely adaptive, roll-with-the-punches mentality.
• Ability to self-motivate and think creatively.

It Would be Nice if You Had

• Experience with HubSpot or similar social media management platform.
• Previous professional social media experience, especially with LinkedIn.
