Position Summary

The Metallizer Operator will operate a vacuum chamber to metalize (vacuum coating) roll-to-roll film for specialized labels used to produce products to prevent counterfeiting and validate documents and ID’s. The position is responsible for the proper operation and routine maintenance of the metallizing chamber, vacuum system, and handling of the rolled film material. Proper completion of paperwork and tracking of work progress is also required.

Essential Functions Performed by the Position how an individual is to perform and the frequency with which the tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job.

· Operation of vacuum metallizing chamber

· Maintaining production schedule and communicating any changes in planned work

· Proper handling of materials throughout the process

· Operation of winding and unwinding equipment

· Properly and accurately filling out paperwork

· Safe operation of material handling equipment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Able to work in noisy environment

· Previous experience with machine operation is a plus

· Knowledge of vacuum systems and thin film coating (preferred, not required)

· High School Diploma or GED
