OPS Consulting is seeking an experienced Research Scientist Level 3 to work in the following locations: 
Baltimore, MD
College Park, MD
Required Experience: The Research Scientistvaluates and provides expert advice on the application of scientific principles and concepts. The Research Scientist also maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, staying abreast of the scientific literature and conferences. Additional experience is required in the following areas:

• Designs, develops, and executes scientific studies.
• Executes scientific studies.
• Applies scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products.
• May participate in development of intellectual property.
• Plans laboratory research.
• May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research.
• Provide technical consultation on projects in area of primary expertise.
• Applies scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products typically 7 years prior to landing on a product roadmap.

Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Physics plus 12 years of experience or a Master's degree plus 9 years of experience or a Ph.D Degree plus 7 years experience.

• A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
