Description of role:
Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, Direct Care Staff supports adults with developmental disabilities who may have a history of behavioral challenges to accomplish daily living activities at the person’s home, at the work site, and/or in the local community. The Direct Care Staff helps the individual served to be a known and valued member of his/her local community. Hiring Certified Nurses Assistants (CNA) and Home Health aide.
This position includes supervision of staff and individuals, instruction, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, shopping, emergency intervention, and personal care for individuals with developmental disabilities. Hours vary within a 24-hour, 7-day a week schedule, with part-time (less than 32 hours per week) shifts.
We are looking for people who enjoy working with people with disabilities, are interested in teaching and encouraging healthy eating and a positive lifestyle. Candidate’s availability and flexibility to work when needed is a plus.
