Opportunity Behavioral Health provides community and home-based services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking Community Support Staff to provide direct support to clients located in the Berks County area.

Requirements of Community Support Staff-

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, Bachelor's level encouraged to apply-Personal/volunteer/paid experience working with individuals with disabilities-Experience working with clients with Autism and other Intellectual disabilities highly preferred-Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license and insurance, in order to travel to see individuals. Must have a clean driving record.-Possess current PA Criminal Clearance. Consistent access to a computer and internet for submission of progress notes, etc.

Responsibilities of Community Support Staff-Assisting individuals in acquiring, maintaining and improving self-help skills as well as domestic, socialization and adaptive skills.-Supporting individuals, helping them to learn, maintain or improve skills through their participation in a variety of activities in everyday life.-Engage in activities with the individuals to allow them to live in the community, live more independently, be more productive and have increased participation in community life.-Submit accurate, completed progress notes weekly for every session worked with an individual.-Complete necessary training based on the ISP of each individual.
